Version history helps explain how business records changed. Firms must set appropriate retention, access, export, and review processes for their applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Customer information safeguards
Regulation S-P requires covered institutions to maintain safeguards and incident response procedures. Firms need operating controls, service-provider oversight, and required notifications in addition to software features.

Encryption configuration, hosting access, backups, recovery, logging, retention, and incident handling must be verified for each deployment. A feature in Core alone does not establish that a deployment satisfies every requirement.

Versioned database records alone do not establish compliant immutable storage or satisfy all books-and-records requirements.
